The Institution for Savings in Newburyport is a phased project.

Phase 1 is the “Enabling Phase” where we will install new drainage structures and an underground water detention facility to help with storm water. The objective of Phase 1 is to have all of the new site drainage in place and the parking lot repaved and turned back over to the bank and its customers.

Phase 2 is the parking and office space addition (approx. 10,000 SF). We will be installing soil retaining walls around the perimeter of the site, for the addition’s excavation. Excavation for the new addition will include a “Sillman Parking Puzzle Feature” (stackable/automated parking features that allow for cars to be stacked on top on one another). There will be 49 parking spaces​ in the new addition. The second floor of the new addition will also include a mixture of offices, conference rooms, break rooms and lounges for the IFS staff.
