Groom Construction Accelerates Growth with Executive and Field Leadership Hires
Groom Construction, Co., Inc., a premier general contracting firm, continues to build momentum across its construction portfolio, with growing demand in multi-unit residential and affordable housing. As the firm expands its capabilities and scales project delivery, Groom continues to invest in experienced leadership to support future growth, client service, and operational excellence.
Groom Construction has delivered ground-up, expansion, and renovation projects for commercial clients throughout New England. The firm’s team-driven approach emphasizes transparency, collaboration, and accountability – ensuring clients understand project milestones, cost-saving opportunities, risk mitigation strategies, and schedule performance. This consistent focus has helped Groom earn a reputation for integrity and delivering projects on time and within budget.
To support this continued growth, Groom recently announced two strategic hires – strengthening both executive operations and field leadership.
Strengthening Executive Operations
Groom Construction announced the appointment of Kevin Pessolano, P.E. as Chief Operating Officer – Retail, further reinforcing the firm’s leadership team as it continues to expand its national retail platform. In this role, Kevin will oversee retail operations nationwide, with responsibility for risk management, financial oversight, leadership development, and technology-driven process improvement.
“Kevin’s return to Groom Construction in this expanded leadership role is a tremendous win for our organization,” said Dwight Groom, Principal at Groom Construction. “His operational discipline, retail expertise, and ability to build strong relationships align perfectly with our growth strategy.”
Strengthening Field Leadership
Groom also announced the hire of Brett Standish as Senior Superintendent, adding more than 20 years of field leadership experience to the firm’s project delivery team. Brett has led construction projects ranging from $1 million to $850 million, with a strong background in complex work across healthcare, life science, higher education, and multifamily construction. He recently earned his Certified Passive House Builder (CPHB) certification, reinforcing his commitment to high-performance building standards and technical excellence in the field.
“Brett is an accomplished field leader with deep experience managing complex projects and large trade teams,” said Graeme Poole, Chief Operating Officer. “His steady leadership, attention to detail, and commitment to safety and quality will make him an excellent fit for Groom and a strong asset to our clients.”
Building for What’s Next
With continued expansion, Groom Construction is well positioned to meet the needs of clients across the region. By strengthening both executive leadership and on-site execution, Groom is continuing to scale its capabilities while maintaining the craftsmanship, reliability, and client-first approach that has defined the company for decades.
