run it from two home bases: our headquarters in Salem, Massachusetts and our office in Naples,
Florida. Having both is a big reason we can take on work from New England down to the
Southeast, plus the national programs in between, and still stay close to the people and projects

Rooted in New England
Groom started in Salem in 1979, and the North Shore is still home. Over 45-plus years, our
Salem headquarters has grown into the hub of a full-service general contracting and construction
management firm with a team of 200-plus. Our roots here run deep, and so does the work.

When our clients started expanding into Florida, we went with them. What began as a satellite
office in Naples in 2022 turned into a permanent, expanded location on Radio Road in 2024,
giving us a real second home base for the Southeast. The Naples office is more than a pin on a
map. Being there in person means we can run projects better, line up a strong local subcontractor
network, respond faster, and work side by side with clients and partners who want a team that
gets the local market. Our Florida portfolio shows it, from the Gateway Plaza redevelopment in
Fort Pierce and a full Golf Galaxy renovation in Ocala to TD Bank branches across the state,
Seacoast Bank work in Bradenton and Jacksonville, and condo work at Four Winds in Naples.
Why Two Offices Matter
The advantage is simple: local presence with national reach. For clients, that means faster
response times, real regional know-how, and a team that can be on site when it counts, whether
the job is in Massachusetts or Florida. It also means we can run nationwide programs for national
brands without handing you off to a different contractor in every market. We’ve completed
100-plus TD Bank projects across the country and worked as construction manager and general
contractor on hundreds of Best Buy locations over the past two decades, plus retail work for
Target, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Hibbett, and TJX. High-volume, multi-site work like that needs
one accountable partner with the footprint to back it up. Two offices also give us depth across
every market we serve: retail programs, corporate, residential and multifamily, affordable and
supportive housing, healthcare, academic, senior living, and banking.
