Get Paid to See the Country: Groom Construction Is Hiring a Seasonal Travel Crew
Here is a job that does not come around often. From July 1 to October 1, Groom Construction is hiring part-time seasonal crew to help with retail rollouts across the country. You travel, you build, and we cover the cost of getting there. No money out of pocket. It is a fast-paced gig, it pays well, and it is a chance to see parts of the United States you might not get to otherwise. Here is what it is all about.
What the Job Looks Like
Groom is a national retail contractor. That means we build and refresh well-known retail store locations across the country. This crew travels to those sites for short rollouts, usually two to three weeks at a time, then moves on to the next one. The work is hands on. Think fixture assembly, supporting the lead carpenters, and getting a store ready to open. If you are handy and you show up ready to work, you will fit right in.
Travel on Us
This is the part that makes it special. You do not pay to travel. Our in-house retail travel coordinator books your flights and your hotel, Airbnb, or VRBO before you ever leave. You also get a daily per diem for meals. We hand out the company uniform too, shirts, sweatshirts, and safety vests, so you always look the part on site. And if you ever use your own vehicle to get to a job, we reimburse gas and mileage. All you bring is yourself and a good attitude.
Who We Are Looking For
You do not need a construction degree or years on the job to apply. If you are comfortable with fixture assembly and good with your hands, we want to hear from you, and beginners are welcome. We are looking for people who are reliable, professional, and ready to travel. Being familiar with power tools helps. You will also want a flexible schedule, since the crew travels anywhere in the U.S. and a Real ID is required for air travel. A couple of other things to know up front: we provide on-site training to get you up to speed, and steel-toe, OSHA-approved work boots are required on every site.
It is also a perfect summer gig for recent grads and anyone in the hospitality world. If you work at a resort, hotel, bar, restaurant, or ski mountain and things slow down during the summer, this is a smart way to stay busy and earn good money in the off months while seeing the country.
The Pay and the Dates
Pay runs $23 to $36 an hour, based on your skill level and construction experience. The season runs July 1 to October 1, 2026. It is part-time seasonal work, so it can fit around the rhythm of a busy life.
How to Apply
