Over the course of 6 months, Groom worked directly with PEM exhibit designers to facilitate the installation of 5 new gallery spaces. Precise CAD files were overlaid with exhibits to outline the layout of each unique gallery.
Groom coordinated install of custom millwork & framing, curved & angled walls, as well as high-end finish work. 12,000 sf of gallery space in the PEM’s new wing included exhibitions for Maritime Art, Asian Exports and Fashion Design. Galleries in the main building include 9,500 sf of rotating exhibits showcasing artists Hans Hofmann & Jacob Lawrence.
