This 22-week Golf Galaxy renovation in Ocala, Florida transformed a 20,000-square-foot open-box retail space into a fully modernized, brand-compliant store. The project was delivered on time and under budget, supported by strong coordination, efficient scheduling, and comprehensive management of all trades.
The exterior received a complete storefront renovation, including demolition of the existing façade and installation of a new entrance system designed to enhance visibility and customer appeal. Updated exterior finishes, lighting, and signage infrastructure completed the refreshed look.
Inside, the project included a full mechanical, electrical, and plumbing overhaul. Five new rooftop HVAC units were installed with all-new ductwork and controls, ensuring optimal comfort and energy performance. The plumbing system was completely replaced to support new restrooms, breakroom fixtures, and utility locations, while a fully rebuilt electrical system introduced new panels, wiring, lighting, switching, and dedicated power for specialty equipment and displays.
Life-safety and technology upgrades were also a major component of the work. A brand-new fire sprinkler system was installed throughout the store and certified to meet all NFPA and local requirements. A new telecom system and audio system were integrated to support retail operations, communication, and customer engagement.
The interior build-out included the construction of five new golf simulation centers, each equipped with framing, electrical and data, acoustic treatments, flooring, and vendor-coordinated equipment integration. A standard employee breakroom was also built, complete with cabinetry, appliances, and all required utility hookups. Additional interior improvements included new flooring, ceiling systems, lighting, paint, and finishes across the sales floor and back-of-house areas.
The finished store represents a fully modern, operationally efficient, and customer-focused retail environment that aligns with Golf Galaxy’s brand standards.
