Groom Construction was the general contractor for this two-part, $1.3 million revitalization plan for Children’s Island, the Lynch/van Oterloo Y-owned day camp. Work began with the site work and foundation for three new buildings. The new facilities include two multi-stall restrooms located at either end of the island and a cabin designed specifically for the youngest campers on the 25-acre island located in Salem Sound. The three new buildings were framed and finished before the start of the 2024 camp season.
