Groom collaborated with LDa Architects and the TGLC Board of Trustees to enter preconstruction in the fall of 2020. The improvements focused on 2 main building entry lobbies, mail center, fitness and locker rooms, amenity spaces, and conference rooms. The overall property houses 168 units in an eight-story building stretching over two city blocks. Scope of phase 1: installation of new finishes, lighting and electrical upgrades, plumbing, and HVAC.
Scope of phase 2: renovation of the elevator cabs with door & hardware replacements. Groom’s project team coordinated daily with the property manager to inform the residents of upcoming work and schedules. Safety, egress planning, protection, and collaboration with the team keep this exciting project on schedule.
