If you know Brookline then you know Brookhouse Condominiums... it's the one with the waterfall! This multi-phase/multi-year project consisted of exterior landscaping and renovations to the Brookhouse Condominiums. The project included new steel and glass canopies, structural repairs to a below-grade parking garage, and reconstruction of the signature two-story water feature. The repairs were originally scheduled to be phased over three (3) years, but careful coordination allowed to minimize disruptions to tenants and compress the schedule to only two (2) years. Groom was able to complete the upgrades despite being hemmed in by busy Washington Avenue one side and and an occupied campus of residential and commercial tenants on the other.
The photos are in and they are stunning! Many thanks for Will Horne of Horne Visual Media for accommodating our crazy schedules. It was a race to the finish but the Owners of this magnificent residence are settling in and couldn't be happier. View the full gallery to find out more about this beautiful home.
Groom recently completed construction of The Royal Residences in Boston's South End. This project involved the adaptive re-use of two structures - the former 19th century Salvation Army Harbor Light Center and the adjacent five-story brick brownstone. The combined buildings created 12 residential units: a 900 square foot one bedroom condo, two 1600 square foot garden level units and nine two and three bedroom units ranging from 1,600-2,500 square feet. Modern sustainable systems and luxury kitchens and baths are major features of the renovation. The red brick and limestone exteriors are completely restored with new windows, masonry repair, roof decks, a six-car garage and an entry lobby at grade.
Crews are hard at work installing finishes at our Clark Hill residential project. On the interior we're busy installing the last of the millwork, including a stunning kitchen manufactured by Bulthaup. Bathroom countertops have been delivered and are also being installed. See above for a sneak-peak one of the double-bowl vanity tops carved from a single piece of solid marble!
One the exterior, we are installing over 40 tons of tumbled roof ballast delivered from Mexico. Also on the outside, crews are wrapping up the last remaining details of the unique Valsar stone veneer quarried in Switzerland. Stay tuned for more developments!
