For both Groom Construction as a company and as individuals, donating time, funds and additional resources back to the community is an integral part of who we are. raw art works

RAW is a youth arts organization, rooted in art therapy that is dedicated to having children’s voices heard.  The organization, located in Lynn, MA offers a variety of free programs for local youth from painting to filmmaking.  RAW gives these children an opportunity to tell their story by giving them the tools to create and envision their own futures. Raw’s Mission: To ignite the desire to create and confidence to succeed in underserved youth.


Art Omi

Art Omi is a not-for-profit arts organization with residency programs for international artists, writers, translators, musicians, architects and dancers. Art Omi believes that exposure to internationally diverse creative voices fosters tolerance and respect, raises awareness, inspires innovation, and ignites change.


Joslin Diabetes Foundation

Joslin Diabetes Center is world-renowned for its deep expertise in diabetes treatment and research. Joslin is dedicated to finding a cure for diabetes and ensuring that people with diabetes live long, healthy lives.  Their mission is to prevent, treat and cure diabetes and create a world free of diabetes and its complications.

Lifebridge north shore

Lifebridge Salem is dedicated to the emotional and physical well-being of society’s most vulnerable members through supportive services and programs.  They have changed the lives of many people in our communities by helping them regain their independence.  Lifebridge Northshore includes The River House in Beverly, The Grace Center in Gloucester and Lifebridge Salem.

North Shore Chamber of Commerce

The North Shore Chamber of Commerce is an economic development organization dedicated to shaping policy and events so that decisions by business and government results in a better North Shore as place to live and work.  The Chamber of Commerce was established in 1918 and has been creating a strong community across the North Shore ever since. 


Juvenile Diabetes Foundation

DRF is the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research.  Their strength lies in their exclusive focus and singular influence on the worldwide effort to end T1D. Their mission is to create life-changing breakthroughs to cure, prevent and treat T1D and its complications.


Salem Boys & Girls Club

The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Salem engages a Formula for Impact that ensures that success is within reach of every young person who walks through our doors.  The goal is for all members to be promoted from one grade to the next, and on track to graduate from high school, with a plan for the future, demonstrating good character and citizenship, and living a healthy lifestyle.

The Wang YMCA in Chinatown has strengthened their community since 1914. The Wang YMCA of Chinatown features cultural programs and is a leading community resource. Today, the YMCA is one of the community’s leading social service providers.

House of the Seven Gables

The House of the Seven Gables has been a museum since 1910.  The museum continues to use the proceeds from visitors to fund educational work in the community of Salem, MA.  Supporting the House of the Seven Gables contributes to the preservation of the National Historic Landmark District and provides opportunities through education and modern settlement programming and partnerships.


Essex NAtional Heritage Association

Essex Heritage is a non-profit organization that rallies our community around saving the unique character of Essex County: the thousands of historic, cultural, and natural places that were crucial in shaping our nation; the places that led to this region's designation as a National Heritage Area by an act of Congress in 1996; the places that make Essex County like nowhere else.

Plummer Youth Promise

Plummer Youth Promise is dedicated to helping those who face grim outcomes after leaving foster care or the juvenile justice system.  They succeed at this mission by engaging effectively with families, teaching young people skills and community connections and by sharing their knowledge with others.   

North Shore CDC

North Shore Community Development Coalition carries forward 40 years of collective experience and successful community investment on the North Shore, having reorganized as a regional community development organization in 2011.  Focusing on low-income and distressed neighborhoods, they have committed to transformational, sustainable revitalization in Salem, Peabody, and Beverly.


The Family restored

The Family Restored offers support to families and information on how to cope with a family member who suffers from addiction.  The organization is facilitated by recovered personal who have experienced the damage that their disease has caused their family.  They specialize in Educating families on the disease of addiction; including its common symptoms and how to effectively approach or intervene on a loved one’s addiction. They help families navigate the various levels of addiction services and provide recommended resources.


ACE MEntoring

The ACE Mentor Program of America, Inc. (ACE) helps mentor high school students and inspires them to pursue careers in design and construction.  Their  mission is to engage, excite and enlighten high school students to pursue careers in architecture, engineering, and construction through mentoring and to support their continued advancement in the industry.

Northeast ARC

The Northeast Arc helps people with disabilities become full participants in the community; choosing for themselves how to live, learn, work, socialize and play.  The organization supports children and adults with a broad range of disabilities, including autism and physical disabilities. The goal of the Northeast Arc is to ensure that children and adults with disabilities are able to live, work, engage in civic life and play in the community

The Women’s Fund of Essex County is a community of women, businesses and families dedicated to creating social change for women and girls. The vision is to empower all women and girls to reach their full potential. The organization collectively raising funds and make grants to nonprofit programs in Essex County that are changing the lives of all women and girls in significant and sustainable ways.

Harborlight Community partners

Harborlight Community Partners, Inc. is a non-profit, Massachusetts certified Community Development Corporation (CDC) with the capacity and sustainability to provide affordable housing across Southern Essex County.


HAWC

AWC (Healing Abuse Working for Change) strives to help abused women, children, men, and nonbinary people live free from violence and fear. As a leading domestic violence agency in Massachusetts, HAWC provides a domestic violence helpline, emergency shelter, legal services, advocacy and counseling services to more than 2,500 families in the North Shore area each year.


Marblehead Arts Association

Founded in 1922 the Marblehead Arts Association has been dedicated to supporting the belief that a vibrant art community was integral to the well-being of Marblehead and the surrounding community. 


SPUR

SPUR is a Marblehead, MA. based 501(c)3 charitable organization whose mission is to SPUR youth and adults on toward good deeds that build stronger communities through hands-on community service and enrichment programs.

My Brother's Table 

Founded in 1982 My Brother’s Table, the largest soup kitchen on the North Shore, has provided over 3 million hot, free meals and outreach to men, women and children in need. Last year alone MBT served over 186,000 meals. 


Roots

Root’s mission is to prepare youth, ages 16 to 24, with a pathway out of poverty. Through life and work readiness skills, health and nutritional education, and development of social capital, students leave Root prepared for success in the workplace.


JCC Of the North Shore 

The North Shore JCC is dedicated to developing and implementing programs for the recreational, educational, cultural, physical and social needs of infants to seniors for the Jewish and general community.
