Groom Construction is looking for a Bid Coordinator to assist the Estimator with bidding and other various projects in the estimating department. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years experience in the Construction Industry as an Administrative Assistant or Project Coordinator. The position is full time but part time will be considered.


  • Assist Estimator with bidding and other various projects in the estimating department

  • Down load plans / print / have printed

  • Maintain Document Control Log

  • Maintain Job Status Log

  • View bid documents and plans, help prepare trade/sublist for bidding

  • Call subcontractors for bid coverage / Or find new subcontractors

  • Send ITBs

  • Prepare RFIs to the architects, engineers

  • Coordinate job walks and meetings with subcontractor

  • Answering incoming bid calls

  • Prepare bid book

  • Interface with subcontractors

  • Must maintain bid board / plans / bid books / prepare bids books to be handed off to PM

  • Attend office team meetings / maintain estimating meeting minutes

  • Assist in preparing and delivering Proposal

  • Ensure consistent branding

  • Ability to work independently, but as part of a large team

  • Great communication skills

  • Must have strong organizational skills, flexibility, and the ability to prioritize work assignments

  • Pay extreme attention to detail


  • 2+ years in the construction industry as an Administrative Assistant or Project Coordinator

  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to multi-task and be flexible

  • Must be detail-oriented

  • Must able to read and understand sub-contract agreements

  • Must have excellent organizational skills

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Applications
